Roof Tiles, Sydney Opera House

When I lived in Hawaii, I made yearly visits to Australia. Although, I've travelled all my life, it was in Australia where I first began to love the experience of travel. The people of Australia are warm and friendly, and always seemed to be willing to talk and share a bit of their experiences.

Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, the building was formally opened on 20 October 1973. The building and its surrounds occupy the whole of Bennelong Point on Sydney Harbour, between Sydney Cove and Farm Cove, adjacent to the Sydney central business district and the Royal Botanic Gardens, and close by the Sydney Harbour Bridge. On 28 June 2007, the Sydney Opera House became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
