Dijver Canal Scene in Bruges

This corner of the canal, along the Dijver Canal is probably one of the most photographed, and for good reason. From this location, you can watch the boats as they make their way up and down the canal, with the Belfort tower in the background. This image is from Rozenhoedkaai Street, which fronts the canal.

Bruges is known as the "Venice of the North" for good reason. This nickname makes sense because when you hear about Bruges, one of the first images that come to mind, most likely, is that of a city crisscrossed by numerous canals.
